The instructions say it can be rolled brushed or sprayed.
Can you paint a plastic utility sink.
I am happy to announce to you right now that yes painting the slop sink worked.
Since i already had a plastic laundry tub that worked fine i wasn t going to get a new one.
But i thought adding a little interest to it with some spray paint that works on plastic would be a nice touch.
You d need to completely cover surfaces other than the sink where paint droplets might.
These paints should stick to most hard plastics and should be effective for fiberglass composite polypropylene and acrylic.
Remove all fixtures and tape up the area.
The washington post recommends using krylon fusion for plastic and rust oleum paint for plastic.
Krylon and rust oleum sell their plastic paints only in spray cans so dealing with overspray is critical.
Use epoxy paint or ep acrylic paints.
You can do a diy fiberglass sink or tub on a budget.
The sink paint takes 15 minutes to dry to the touch but will take 3 days to fully cure.
One of the photos was of a laundry room and it included a duo toned laundry tub.
First you need to clean it thoroughly.
Shake it well hold the can 10 16 away from the sink and spray in a steady back and forth motion.
The paint is much thinner than i expected it to be.
Apply 2 3 light coats letting each one dry in between for 15 minutes.
Allow the paint to dry for three days.
Wear gloves and a mask and be sure to ventilate the room.
I chose a 4 mini roller and a 1 foam brush to get the corners.
Mix the 2 part epoxy paint together following instructions.
