650b palace has one of those lists on their blog.
Can you put 24 inch wheels on a 26 inch frame.
I have a fairly nice raleigh with a bad 27 front wheel.
To use 24 junior tires you actually need smaller wheels of a 507 mm diameter.
Can i replace the 27 wheels with 26 wheels.
There s a number of lists out there with all the frames suitable for a conversion to 27 5.

This answer is not useful.
As a previous answer told you it is not the wheel size but the frame size.
Standard mountain bikes have always had 26 inch wheels.
Not all 26 inch frames are compatible with a 27 5 wheel as it can easily rub on the stays or bottom bracket.
Too far gone for truing.
Unless the bike was specifically designed for a wheel size conversion like the 18 20 prodigy from hoffman in 2003 or so changing the wheel size is generally not a safe and practical option.
You could maybe actually get 26 on if you went from a 2 wide knobbie to a 1 or 1 1 4 tire they are not only narrower but smaller all around but you would still have brake issues.
No you can t put 24 on 26.
I know that a large wheel clearance is considered ugly i m thinking of the pengy bike here but i ve often wondered if it would improve the handling on the smaller frame sizes.
700c wheels seem to look oversized on some xs bikes i ve seen whereas 26 wheels would be much more in proportion.
Your 26 tires sit on wheel rims whose diameter is probably 559 mm.
But has anyone tried putting 26 wheels on a larger frame before.
I m thinking the brakes pads would need to be move 1 2 inch and as the replacement rear 26 wheel is a 3 speed shimano hub their would be no dersillers to set up.
I have a nice spare 26 wheel set.
Brake mount positions and tire clearance to the frame prevent it.
